Music Studio is a simple sound mixer in your pocket.  The idea is that you will use mStudio as to continue your music creativity while on the move. mStudio has a number of features that have been built to help capture your creativity when you have that motivational moment. The core features in mStudio are the Mixer, Recorder, Sample Editor Download samples and and Sample Sorter.

mStudio only supports the wav file format. For best results 44.2kHz PCM encoded stereo wav samples should be used.

Here at iHarwood development work on future versions of mStudio continues with great effort but we greatly appreciate YOUR input and comments. Please take the time to register with iHarwood by sending us an email using the Register option on the Switchboard scroll menu.

We also believe in community so you can also check out our facebook, mySpace and twitter feeds. We will from time to time publish hint and tips on these pages and we’ll make product announcements.

Features

The main application functions are covered below. More detail can be found on the features screen in the application.

Switchboard

This screen is called the ‘Switchboard’. The 'Switchboard' is the starting point for all of your mStudio activities. The menus on the left give you access to all the application functions. The image on the right is the artwork for each of your songs.

Mixer

This is where create your own songs by combining sample tracks together. When you have added the samples you would like in your song. Remember to use the Shake n Remix feature.

Recorder

The recorder allows you to record sample straight on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Once you have recorded your sample you can edit them down to fit in to you song.

Sample Editor

This is a visual sample editor. The sample graph lets you visualise the sound. You can play the sample while you’re editing the sample. The sample will loop over and over while you drag the start and end trim points. When you are happy with the trimmed sample, save it and add it into your song.

Download Samples

We have implemented a simple FTP (File Transfer Protocol) base sample download function. This feature makes it possible for you to download samples that you have on your desktop to your e or iPod Touch. You can also connect to your favorite FTP sites and download from there.

Sort Samples

When you record or download samples they are stored in the respective categories. With Sort Samples you can move any sample to a different category. You can also create new categories you match your samples.
